Thirteen Reasons Why(Guided Response)

           To me this book is quite confusing.  The way it is written.  It bounces from tape ,to narrator, to the one listening to the tapes.  After the first tape it got easier to understand and you became the person listening to the tapes.  The book literally sucks you in making you want to read more and more.  I am still trying to figure out why or what made a kid that age think of something like this to do before she commits suicide?  Was it revenge to everyone that hurt her?  Was it to teach them a lesson?  It makes me want to read more to get the answers.  If a box shows up like that at my house.  I will freaky out.  To know that you where apart of someones life that dramatically.  I don't think anyone realizes that they affect people in that way.  I truly didn't think I did!  But this book opened my eyes and I realize that everything I say or do can change someones life for the good or bad.  I just hope it is for the good.  I would really hate to no that I could cause someone to commit suicide!!!!

                      This book was edited by Joyce Reardon, PH.D.  There was not Author of this book.  It was written so Stephen King could make the movie Rose Red. Some people beleive that it was either writen by Stephen king himself or ghost written by McGarth.  The book reads like a true diary by Ellen Rimbauer as she lives in Rose Red Masion.  She starts out, this lovely young lady.  As her anger grew twards men it kind of put a hecks on the house.  As the house grew her anger grew.  As her anger grew the house came more alive.  She believe that all men where evil, corrupt, violent or all three because of her husband that lied to her for so many years.  The house would take the male worker because of her anger twards them. As time went by the house would start growing on its own. She pretty much went nuts.  The reason why I connected to this book is because I have had pretty bad luck with men in my past and It made me happy that I didn't end up like her.  Nuts and mad.  A crazy lady.  But I still like the book. Its full of surprizes and suspense.  It's one of the must read and you start to be Ellen in your mind.  That is when it getts really good.  I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
